That was the worst Superbowl game ever! I really didn't care who won, but I did expect a better game....you know, with both teams actually showing up and playing. Denver got rattled on the first play, and couldn't recover. Seattle had some kind of freaking awesome defense mojo going.
The halftime show was not my cup of tea....I didn't like it at all. Even the commercials were the worst I've seen during a Superbowl.....
Oh well, at least I had some awesome food!

I went in not caring either way which team won (not just because I'm still in mourning about the Patriots :() because I like Peyton Manning and thought it was going to be his year and having lived in Seattle for 7 years, they're sort of a home team. I would have been happy no matter which team took the Lombardi trophy. I confess I watch football more because my partner does but he was the one to suggest we turn the channel at 8 to watch Downton Abbey because it already was such a debacle.

Sorry, (((Cat))).

You did.

I mean seriously, did you see him (Eli) at the end of the game? Whose team do you play for Eli? I mean, be upset because it is your brother, but not THAT upset at your home field. Jeepers.

We turned the channel back over in time to catch the last minute or so of the game but thankfully missed that.

I'd really thought it was going to be a much closer game so wonder if you're right about something being off with Peyton--perhaps the whole team. I guess it just proves that old maxim of "any given Sunday."

Above all else I was hoping for a close exciting game, with Peyton losing at the end (Sorry CAT) of course.

What did you all think of Broadway Joe's coat?

Just how cold was it there, anyway?
I could see that coat up here in Winnipeg, when it's minus 35 with a wind chill, but otherwise it's just unnecessary.
(I wonder if he is wearing pantyhose, like he used to when he was a football player) ;)
