Wishing you a very safe journey Jojo87Was at work from 6 am to 2 pm and now we are driving to South Finland on a weekend trip. It's midnight before we get there.
Holding you and The Man in positives. May it be a quick and painless resolve. Prayers. Please let us know how things go.Sitting in the ER with The Man, waiting for him to be seen. Trimming tree and a branch came down on his head. He has a piece of wood lodged right above his left eyebrow. When he touched it you can see it wiggling right next to the inner corner of his eye. Fun times. InstaCare wouldn't even touch it. So here we sit. Hoping for an x-ray instead of a CT scan - bit less expensive.

We were laughing about it at the hospital! The doc was sort of a curmudgeon (not really surprising in an ER), but the nurses and helper guy (not sure what they're called) thought we were funny. After almost 30 years together we can find the humor in just about anything The best was the intake nurse: she was going through the standard questions (name, addy, birthdate, height, etc), clearly trying not to stare at the stick poking out of Mark's forehead. She asked him his weight, then couldn't resist asking, "Does it hurt?" Mark deadpans, "Being fat?" (he's not really--just dad-plump, as my girls say) I've never seen a nurse laugh so hard! We were laughing, too She twice came to find us back in the rooms, just to check on how Mark was doing and to snort laugh a little more. I think he made a new friendGlad to hear it turned out ok. ER must see some strange things.
You will laugh about it one day, hopefully.
thankful all ok. May the healing be quick.Nasty stick/thick splinter--about 2" long--but the doc was able to pull it out without major mess. Irrigated it well, dressed the wound, and prescribed antibiotics. $250 ER copay this close to Christmas isn't a joy, but it's good to have it taken care of I wish I would have taken a picture before they pulled it out--it looked weird--but I took one right after. Unfortunately, it's coming out HUGE here--lol. If I can figure out how to make it smaller, I'll post it.
