Good morning and happy weekend! I've come down with the plague. Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration; it FEELS like the plague. I have swollen glands, a very sore throat, and a severe headache....yech.
Luckily, books and blankets were made for days like this.

Hope you feel better soon! I was fighting off some crud earlier this week. Took extra vitamins for the immune system (echinacea and elderberry). Very grateful things turned around quickly.

I had some elderberry extract but I forgot to bring it with me on the move. Maybe I'll send someone to the store for a hot toddy and elderberry run. I think little Alex is also ill. He's been co-napping with me all day and I heard him cough earlier.

We have the flu here. I got up Saturday morning feeling just a little off, and by Saturday night, I was down for the count. 102 fever, body aches, the whole nine yards. Then Sunday we lost Jinx. I was down til Tuesday. I feel better except some congestion and just being so darn weak.

Evan has it now, though. 2nd day home from school today. He has the fever but not the aches.

It is all over town, the hospital and nursing homes have imposed visiting restrictions and the office lady at Evan's school said they were sending kids home left and right with high fevers.

Had to do some housework this morning though. Have Directv coming, been having lots of trouble with my receivers.
Have a 12-4 o'clock window of arrival, everything is as good as it is getting.

Sometimes when you just turn the power off on the phone and then turn it on again that will fix the problem (believe it or not) - that worked for me!

I thought you were responding to Cat's flu post at first! I couldn't imagine a home flu remedy that involved turning off the power on your phone, but I was willing to give it a go.

It's been icy here too. I've been so grateful for the warmer temps, but it was sleeting all day yesterday and there were black ice warnings. That crap is nothing to mess around with!
