This was on this morning when I was getting ready for work (3:45 am). Saw the part where they were getting on the ferry and then to the house. The basement scene creeps me out!!!!Tried to watch 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown' Say sorry Debbie Reynolds, all that yelling.. not good for me. Guess not in the mood.
So, War of the Worlds latest. I still like it, don't know why.. Watch when it is on. Tom Cruise and special effects and the kid screaming all the time.
I didn't really like that one. "Gosh, white people suck. Luckily, there's a super-duper-ooper-pooper awesome white girl to help the black women." I preferred "Django Unchained."
Latest movie was "Split" from M. Night Shamaylan (and in my head I want pronounce that Shamalamadingdong. I don't know why). It's 70% good thriller movie with 30% THE TWIST. But it's way better than most of the stuff he's put out over the last ten years.
Spot the oxymoron! The citizens are emotionless but happy
I saw Hush... seemed like a typical horror movie in some ways until the end .. much respect .. I totally did not see that coming .... ventriloquist dummies done differently enough, it's worth the watch ... also had the guy who played Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) in True Blood in it ... before he did that show .. which I love by the way .. .if you want to turn something, TV show, movie, book adaptation, into pure gold, put it in Alan Ball's hands ....
Captain America: Civil War
Hush
I've been wanting to see this one--thanks for the quick review. Garfield is a superb actor, and I like Gibson as a director.Hacksaw ridge by Mel Gibson. Andrew Garfield plays the lead as a conscious objective who joins the army as a medic to save lives. Refuses to touch a rifle and gets into some trouble. Savedalot of lives against the japanese but never killed anyone. Based on true story. Good movie and it does not try to soften the violence of war but does not excel in it.
Is this taken from a book? I read a book recommended to me by my daughter a couple of years ago that has this exact synopsis. Different title, though--I think the one I read was called... Delirium, I think.Equals (2015) Nicholas Holt, Kristen Stewart
A remarkable sci-fi movie. In a dystopian utopia, all emotions have been erased at birth. The citizens are emotionless but happy and functional. A disease is sweeping the population that is causing the emotions to resurface. The government is on top of the situation and is administering drugs to keep the emotions at bay until they find a cure. Silas (Nick Hoult) and Nia (Kristen Stewart) develop an illegal relationship and are hiding the relationship. The story is simple but powerful. Love is a disease.
I've found that anything with McAvoy is at least giving a watch. He's fab, and has good judgment of the roles he chooses.I didn't really like that one. "Gosh, white people suck. Luckily, there's a super-duper-ooper-pooper awesome white girl to help the black women." I preferred "Django Unchained."
