Today I have decided to take a break from the SKMB site for a while. No reason but it seems right. See you in September (if I can hold out that long). All the best to everyone, mal.
I will miss you,mal ... miss you very much! Be safe, take care of you. Candle in the Kantina window shall guide you back. Sending love and green lights!!

A girlfriend called and asked me, if i coul build up a dresser for her.
"Of Course" i said and drove to her.

I thought that Work would be done within 20-30 minutes....i was Wrong.

It was a Dresser called "Malm"...from Ikea (is there Ikea in the U.S ??? )
She said "Ok, i have to go to Work now, heres the spare Key"

So i unpacked "Malm"...and the Frantic Search began.
Where is the Manual, where are the bolts....where are Tools ??

So i tried to Buils "Malm" without guidance....and without enough bolts or glue
or anything helpful.

About 30 minutes i have started with "Malm" and after teaching my Girlfriend Neighbours
with Swearwords and hexes against anything in this whole wide World,
i wnt to the Fridge and took a Beer.

After the first draught, my Stomach reminded me, that i had no Lunch.

So i drove to Burger Kings Drive Trough.
On my Wyy Back, i was a little bit to fast (damn i was Hungry as Hell)

The next Words i heared " Driving License and Vehicle Documents please"
Damn Speed Trap...

After i arrived, i "enjoyed" my cold Big King, Fries and King Wings.

I emptied the rest of the Beer, stared at "Malm"....and then.. "I have got it"

Stowed "Malm" into the Trunk, drove to a Furniture Store, bought a Dresser(built)..Home Time...!

New Dresser : 50 €
Speeding Ticket : 35 €
Standing on the Terrace and watch "Malm" burn.....Priceless !!!

Have a nice Weekend

I'm sorry to hear that mal, I always enjoy the humour in your posts.
September is a long time away... you'll be missed! Take good care of yourself.

....I find that meal quite enticing....
The recipe--I'm adding a little shredded chicken because a meal without meat makes The Man *sideeye* (lol)
Corn, Avocado and Black Bean Tostadas

Ingredients
8 6-inch corn tortillas
Salt
1 15-oz. can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup frozen corn, defrosted
1 small ripe avocado, peeled, pitted and chopped
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Arrange tortillas on a baking sheet, mist with cooking spray and sprinkle with salt. Bake until beginning to crisp, 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. While tortillas are toasting, combine beans, corn, avocado, cilantro, olive oil, lime juice and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Top tortillas, still on baking sheet, with some bean and corn mixture. Sprinkle with Cheddar.
  3. Turn oven to broil and broil tostadas until cheese has melted and is beginning to brown, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
