"....oh yeah, and do me a favor after I say that wouldja?....stuff my carcass with a couple of bags of microwave popcorn, cuz the whole cremation process will be a lot more entertaining....."

:lol::lol::lol: ****can't....breathe....****:lol::lol::lol:

And now a confession: these comments that make me scream-laugh stay in my mind for weeks at a time, filed away in my mental rolodex of Funny Stuff. And knowing my luck, it will be sitting there, idling away in the back of the tiny peanut shell I call a brain for some time and will only resurface when someone I know well meets me face to face and begins telling me about a bad event in their life. As they tell me they slipped on a patch of ice and broke their hip, I'll think "carcass. popcorn. cremation" and I'll bust up laughing hysterically just as the person is telling me that their hip was fractured and they may never walk correctly again. I think there's really something wrong with me :nrvs:
....glad I could feed the imp.....

I've been spending awhile now trying to track down the breeder of a beloved dog we lost a few years ago. I found a lead with an email address that looked quite familiar, so I emailed it and it came back undeliverable :(

Gonna keep trying. We would love to reconnect with them.

My oldest daughter ran for public office in the primary where she lives. Last evening I was one of those irritating people outside a voting location handing out cards and asking for votes. At least I got some people to laugh. One nasty election for just a primary that the newspaper called ‘spirited.' She won the Republican primary and received the most votes in every precinct of all Republican and Democrat candidates running, with the help of Democratic crossover write-in votes. The general election in November is looking to be one ugly drag out fight.

Congrats to your daughter. May there be a win in November, and may she act wisely in all her political decisions.

Thank you. Last evening, one person told me he thought she was highly opinionated and pig-headed. I replied with something like: Yeah, I agree... but I think you would have to agree she has done more for your community in the last several years than anyone else, and if you like her positions on helping and bettering the community wouldn’t you want someone like that fighting for you? He replied... ‘I see where she gets it from.’ :)

Did this person realize you were her dad before saying that to you? ;-D

Anyway, congrats and good luck to her in the general!

Thank you and sure he did. I think I started off with something like... Hello, my daughter is running and she'd appreciate your support. And I'll appreciate your help to prove all that money I spent on her education didn't go to waste. And his reply was in a good natured manner. I lived in that town for 17 years and the people there speak their mind without any reservations. I kinda always liked that of those people... All good hard working, hard living, middle class folk. They'd get in a fist fight with you and have a beer with you afterwards... which did happen to me on a couple of occasions. :)

Damn, i need a Drink *gg*

My daughter is suffering through the same with me. I am sure she has pulled out the bottle of
vodka by now. I couldn't find the internet on my new phone and texted her asking where it was.
She told me I hadn't signed up for it. My answer? You mean I have to pay for internet?
Yup, drivin' her crazy :)

Hey wondering how accurate the "complet Stephen king encyclopedia" is? The one written in 1991? I am finding it interesting. I just finished reading the intervew with his then secritary, and the intervew with David
I bought it in 1992 and loved my copy. I kept it for a long time before donating it to the library. It was full of very valuable information for the time (pre-internet).
