What on earth does a thing maker do??

....exactly what it said....I think the stuff was some combination of latex and other plastics.....you poured the goop into molds and the heat from the unit made creatures....there were several variants of this.....

Yep. There was this liquid plastic you'd pour in the mold and cook it on a plate that got upwards of 250 degrees. You used these little squeeze tongs to manipulate the mold. Burned myself on the mold a lot getting the cooked creature out -- or flowers, which I also had. So, yeah.. totally child safe. ;;D
