I'm jealous you had delivery pizza.Delivery pizza with a pool of grease in the middle.
For that matter, potato chips so greasy that your hand was slick with it after eating. Then wavy chips came out. Then they started having flavors like onion & garlic. The weirdos ate Fritos.
The only cheese we got was American or Velveeta (yes, I know).
It was great when Coke came out in 16-oz bottles. You paid a deposit on the glass bottles (and for milk too) and got it back when you returned the bottles.
Penny candy that cost a penny. It included candy cigarettes with a red tip on one end to simulated being lighted.
NBC, CBS, and ABC. Then we could get NET, which later turned into PBS. And they were black-and-white channels with snow, and you always tried to tweak the antenna for optimum reception. To turn the TV off and on, or turn the volume up or down, or to change channels, you got up, went to the TV, and did it manually. Yes, I know, the horror. When I was preteen, color TVs started coming out. It was great if you liked to pay big money to see green people.
Pretty much, no black people on TV serials. The main Latino guy was the Frito Bandito, a cartoon character in a commercial.
I bicycled everywhere, all over town, and without a helmet, from grade school on.
Board games and card games in the evening, or a good book, if nothing was worth watching on TV, which was often the case.
Ours had some kind of pink gel looking stuff in it.....I think my brother tasted itDid you ever rip one open? They had what looked like radioactive green goop on the inside!
