I can't wait to see the finished work too. I've yet to graduate beyond a lap quilt and wall hanging.

Exquisite work. Beautiful and useful gifts. The quilt for SIL is finished but I don't have a pic today to share as I just finished it this AM before work. Two more sets of towels finished and off my to do list and will be on their way to my aunt (hopefully) tomorrow or Thursday with the ones I'd woven earlier so she'll have all 6 in plenty of time for Christmas. The same pattern was used for both sets but look very different (at least to me) because of the variegated yarn that was used for the green ones.

Absolutely love the professional look. Sorry for the confusion. In this case, it's my son-in-law who will be getting the quilt. It's one my daughter had started years ago and I finished so it will be from both of us.This was so confusing to me. On another forum, people shorten my username to SL or SIL. I thought I was gett8ng a quilt and didn’t know why. Lol
In my defence, I was supposed to be allowed to sleep in this morning. But at 5 my son woke me up to kill a spider in the bathroom. Stupid thing was camouflaging itself, and at 5 in the morning I can’t see much of anything. And, while I do realize how that sounds, DS is seeing two doctors for anxiety. And spiders are one of his triggers, so he did the right thing in waking me up.
Ms Mod, those towels are lovely.

They have table top models for both 4 shaft and rigid heddle looms that you can store away when you're not using them. The one I have (a rigid heddle) came like that and I bought a stand later. The 4 shaft are a lot pricier than the rigid heddle but you can still do a lot with the rigid heddles. Check them out and if you have any questions, let me know.Dang it! Those are so nice! I wish I had room in the house for a loom
Oh man, intricate time consuming work. I bet it was pretty all done. Many years ago I became fascinated by card weaving/tablet weaving. The fascination didn't last long. Keeping track of which way you need to turn the cards next was not much fun. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle just to make a tie belt nobody would ever wear lol.

Probably no huge surprise that I have a set of those but still haven't given it a try. I looked at the cards and the book on how to do it and decided I wasn't ready when I realized my eyes were glazing over. It's still on my to do (learn) list. Many years ago I became fascinated by card weaving/tablet weaving. The fascination didn't last long. The one I've thought about for a long time but still resisted is pottery. Just too big an investment for the equipment and there's nowhere around here to go to do it that I'm aware of. If I do find one, though, that could be next.lmao... I quess I shouldn't be surprised There arn't many crafts you havn't tried or put on your list to try
That looks alot like the friendship bracelets I used to do in high school. We did them by hand. Can't imagine trying to do it with cards. Many years ago I became fascinated by card weaving/tablet weaving. The fascination didn't last long. Love these! The pine cones are my favorite but I do live in the Pine Tree State so may be prejudiced.I am working on my ornament gifts for this year. I decided to do hand painted ornaments. Here's what I have so far.
