Coffee in the morning makes me feel that I'm behaving normally, as in "normal" people. I may or may not need coffee for this purpose, but it can't hurt. Also, I'm pretty sure coffee makes a certain aspect of my digestion happy, though sometimes another unhappy. I have evidence (headaches) to suggest that I'm a caffeine addict, so another thing coffee does for me is to act as preventative medicine.

Coffee goes great with dessert, especially pie! I also like a nice mocha for those chilly afternoons that kinda drag, keeps me going. I used to avoid caffeine because of my inner ear problems, but it keeps dragging me back into its clutches.

Say true? My inner ear troubles drive me insane sometimes - please say it's not the coffee - I'll just have to learn to live with it if so.

Depends what type of ear trouble you have. If you suffer tinnitus and/or vertigo, or Meniere's disease, caffeine has been known to exacerbate the problem. It stimulates the nerve endings.
