I am happy because the kids are out of school again today - which means no packing lunches or checking backpacks or monitoring homework for me! I should have been a homeschooling mom - I hate the drill of sending them off everyday.

Good Luck Sweet Pea.I have an in-person interview tomorrow, and hopefully another one later in the week. We'll see!
Hi Holly...my son is off again today too, snow yesterday, ice today. Homework monitoring bites, agreed. I'm happy today because it is beautiful outside (think Ansel Adams), a cat on my lap, a hot cup of java, and a good book (Double Feature 1/2 way through), and a load of laundry in the washer.I am happy because the kids are out of school again today - which means no packing lunches or checking backpacks or monitoring homework for me! I'm overjoyed today for my sister Sarah and her husband Tony, because they are adopting these two little girls! The girls are named Anna and Nia, age 5 1/2 and 3 1/2, and they have beautiful smiles so they'll fit right in with their new parents! The adoption becomes finalized in April. Welcome to the family, little ones!

They are half-sisters from North Carolina. My sister and her husband live in Charlotte so they didn't have to go far! Luckily too the girls are healthy and have no mental or emotional problems. (Sadly, a lot of children in the adoption system are not as lucky.) I just can't wait to meet these two! I'm hoping they can make it to our Memorial Day picnic! What cutie pies. Where are they from? They look so sweet! It really warms my heart when I hear stories of children being adopted into warm, loving homes.View attachment 1344
