So is Norman bates from Psycho, if you want people to follow your rules you need to make sure you follow your own lol. Nobody has as much of a sacred obligation to obey the law than those who make the law.
I'm not laying down any laws. Nothing could be me more foreign. Make your own list if you dont like mine. It is actually OK to have different opinions on books.

Calm down buddy, I just thought it funny that you say no serial killer books and then list two. That line about sacred obligations was just a line I stole from the play I’m in.

It’s not an opinion that Annie is a serial killer though.
She killed multiple babies, her college roommate, set her apartment on fire, killed her first husband, that dude trying to get pictures of the overlook, that officer out on the lawn.

I am very calm. I'm just maintaining my opinion that Misery is not about a serialkiller.
Kurben - you are the most reasonable person on here so don't bother arguing.

As far as human horrors does it have to be people who did something bad to someone else? We had a young 21 year old man from Manitoba who died recently when his transport truck left the road and tilted onto its side. The cab filled with hot tar and he was very badly burned. To me that is a human horror. They tried to save him but he died in a hospital in North Dakota.

Sometimes I wonder if the pain he went through was humane. When someone is that badly burned you would think that to prolong his suffering would be wrong.

That is really horrible. I agree about that. My intention was novels. But i forgot to mention it. Stupid of me. But its very true that reality is often more horrible than any horrorbook.

Dear lord that sounds like an unrealistic movie death, horrifying.
Sorry - he actually died in a burn unit in Minneapolis

Anyway, just thought I should mention you seem a bit belligerent and argumentative. It's okay to disagree with someone but to go on and on about it isn't the greatest thing to do on the SKMB. Just my two cents worth.

Kurben - you're not stupid! I only wish I had the smarts you do :love_heart::popup: Compared to you I am a monkey! :m_enamored::m_bigwink:

Sorry about coming off like that, I just tend to get passionate about debates where I feel I have the upper hand. I just need to mellow out I guess.

4. Lord of the Flies- William Golding
5. Gerald's Game- Stephen King
The most horrifying and disgusting book I've read is called "When Rabbit Howls" - it's pretty bad.

Thanks for apologizing - Kurben is a really great guy and for some reason I just felt like I had to come to his defense.
