I know. I should've purchased an iPhone a long time ago, but I haven't for a couple of reasons:
~I'm not a phone person and never have been. I just got an Android about a year ago after having a Tracfone for years.
~Hey, I'm a teacher, and iPhones are expensive!

Anyway, I figured I needed to update to an iPhone because my circumstances have changed, and now it seems as if I need the extra storage/data/apps/etc.

I went to Best Buy today and after looking high and low for about 7 minutes for a salesperson to assist me, one finally assigned me to a line of people waiting to talk to other salespeople about the iPhone deals they might have. After standing in line for another 7 minutes, I left. I really don't like waiting in line to be helped.

So on to Verizon. The salesperson there told me I could:
~purchase the iPhone 6s for $650, spreading the payments over 2 years with no contract. With the Verizon service, my monthly bill will be about $105.
~purchase the iPhone 6s for $212 and pay for service on a 2-year contract which is more expensive and of course, doesn't provide for the flexibility of no contract where you can update when you want, etc.

I know most of you probably have iPhones, and any advice you can give me before I go trip-trip-tripping over that bridge tomorrow, would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. I have to stick with Verizon due to living in a rural area where other services do not work well at all.

Neither do I. I'm a Luddite. I have an abacus and communicate by smoke signals. That's how I call Uber. ;)

Get a power bar to provide some back up charge. IPhone batteries are very poor, you'll probably charge it every day.

Keep tabs on your mobile data usage if you have wifi assist turned on. It's a feature that uses mobile data to help weak wifi signals but it can be very data hungry.

I'm guessing you've already made your mind up that you're going to change, but why do you feel the need to? You mentioned space, but android phones come in various sizes - 8, 16, 32gb etc and most have expandable memory to offer upto a further 128 gb, and since android 5 (lollipop) you can now save and move apps to your memory card again.

I hope you enjoy it, most iPhone owners tend to, but personally if I didn't have a phone and someone bought me an iPhone, I'd sell it and buy an android with the money.

I need Facetalk, The Nameless. I'll let you guess why. :)
I need more storage. As soon as I get a few pictures and videos on my Android, it starts giving me a "Phone Storage Low" warning. I also record some of my phone calls, and this takes up a LOT of space. I guess I could get more storage on my Android; I just thought I'd update a bit now that I can afford it more readily.
I can't get Internet unless I have a WiFi signal, and I'd like to be able to get to this damn site whenever I want to! :)

Well good luck with it, if you're getting one of the "6" models, make sure it's the 6s and not the regular, bendy 6.

Agreed. My Galaxy does everything my mom and brothers' iPhones can do, at a lower cost and with more flexibility.
