Wow, I think what happened there was I quoted the wrong response. When I said "Yessir!" I could have sworn I was quoting a response that said
11/22/63
for the answer. Sorry for the confusion. I think sometimes this message board gets confused too when people are posting quickly.

Just to clarify everything here:

The correct answer for "Half A Century Ago" is
"11/22/63"

So far no one has gotten the answer to "Funeral Attendee?", "In Mourning?" and "Fishing Trip", which are all for the same short story.
