Amazon e-book refunds

I got $30. I've heard of people getting as much as $300.
Nothing...as yet...today. But last week I think it was I'd gotten something, not from Amazon...the e-mail address suggested Alaska. Did not open either one, but they made it sound too good to be true. Spam filter allowed it through, but since it wasn't from Amazon I wasn't taking a chance on it. Opened an email from someone I knew...10 15 years ago...and lost everything, blue screen of death. Melissa virus as I recall.

You should be able to get a Sarah Palin book and a Donald Trump book with $0.73
First I've heard of this...does it apply to customers in other countries or only the USA?
I'm not sure but I think it is only US. There was a class action lawsuit settlement that resulted in the refunds and I think the lawsuit was a US lawsuit.
Hubby says nothing yet but then that's how our luck rolls.
I did a little more looking and I found out I got $2.82. Not very much but I don't buy very many best sellers, just cheap books. I didn't get an email about it though. I had to go back to the email from last year about the lawsuit and follow the links. Better than nothing!
