We spent a wonderful day in Tamworth, NH, at a brand new track where Kevin got to drive his own personal race car. It's a Nissan something or other (number 64). We had a bit of a scare, because Kevin was fulfilling is duty as a racing instructor and took a gentleman out on the track. The gentleman (driving his own car) miscalculated the turn and sent them both headlong into the guard rail at an alarming speed. Luckily, neither Kevin nor his student were hurt, only the student's vehicle.
I drove Kevin's Audi up to Tamworth in the hopes of getting a "hot lap", meaning Kevin would be able to take me on track with him driving and me in the passenger's seat, providing we use the Audi, which is allowed on track. Danny, Alex and I had an awesome ride up I 93, then right by Lake Winnipesaukee in the Audi; I never knew driving a fast car with a stick could be so much fun. Unfortunately, the rain proved too risky for Kevin to take me on track.
He did great in his time trials, however. He took home a trophy for third place in his Nissan.
Alex is becoming a bit of a race car enthusiast.
These pics are of Kevin's car on track. I could zoom in a bit, but it would detract from the gorgeous New Hampshire back drop.
