Nope (though that looks delicious). I tried making steamed clams for the first time tonight, and they came out lovely :) Wine and butter sauce, a little pasta, some steamed snow peas, and a nice spinach salad to round it out.

Can I come over for leftovers tomorrow, though?

I'm a pretty good cook, but I tried homemade potato chips for the Eldest Son (aka Rabid Bronco Fan) on Sunday, and I overcooked and charred them, and they were awful.

That doesn't mean I won't try it again, because I will. Garlic, salt and pepper, and a special cayenne/cheese blend spice. I know it's got potential. I just do.

I didn't know what I was doing. I was actually trying to fry them in a skillet in olive oil. And I think they would've been okay if I'd just taken them off the heat sooner.
Grandpa, I think the smoke point of olive oil is too low for this application. They'll be burned, rancid tasting (as the oil flavors concentrate), or underdone, it seems to me. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure. The Man (who is a former chef) agrees.

Yeah, we did have an inordinate amount of smoke in the house. I took the skillet outside so as to not trip the smoke alarm.

I am properly chastised, if less than chaste, and never been chased. I will try potato chips again soon the way God meant them: unhealthy.
