This is just something I really want Stephen King to know, and I wasn’t sure the best way to get this little snippet of my life to him:
When I was eleven or twelve, I read Carrie. And that was how I first learned that periods happen. It was also what I thought periods would be like. I waited in excited and horrified suspense for the next two years, for my first moon cycle to begin.
I think about this funny little life story, about every four weeks, for the last 22 years (give or take.)
