Must be Pampered Chef. I have one of those as well. Tried an electric can opener once at a relative's house - was way too frustrating.We got a can opener from some Spoiled Cook party that Grandma went to. It's pretty cool.
I'm used to the old ones that cut down into the lid. This would produce a lid with a sharp edge, and in fact, as a kid, I spent the one time of my life going to the hospital (other than the heart attack) to get a knuckle stitched up when a can of cat food whipped my a$$.
This one, though, cuts from the side and lifts the can lid off nicely. No sharp edges.
