A new book from Bentley Little is coming out.

Cemetery Dance Extras » Blog Archive » THE CONSULTANT! Brand New Bentley Little Novel Announced!

You have to give it to this guy, he knows how to come up with commercial-sounding stories and stay true to his brand. If he maybe shortened his novels to around 300 pages they would even be more effective.

And it's interesting how he is such a mystery. I always love reading his little biographical blurb (which I honestly have to assume is false). If we ever found out Little was a pseudonym (not for King, I'm not suggesting that) I would not be surprised in the least.

When you say you don't like his writing, do you mean it is too bland? It is not as poetic as King's, this is definitely true, it is more functional. I just have to respect the guy because it seems he knows what he wants to do in terms of propelling himself in the marketplace -- there is a certain thread of consistency that runs through his concepts. And he has some cool concepts, such as the idea behind Dispatch. I also loved His Father's Son. Now, as for his endings -- he does have a problem sometimes with ending his books.

I'm surprised he hasn't become a bigger name. Must have to do with the fact that he doesn't engage the media.

I ordered this. I like him. His writing style isn't the greatest and I agree with you Rrty that his endings leave a lot to be desired but I find him fun in a beach read/trashy way. I mean the guy makes garbage creepy. Lol. I enjoy when he turns every day things such as an insurance policy into a supernatural disaster.
