Have mercy. I was so goofy. When a young man invited me out to the river to *watch the submarine races* I thought he was messed up so I said "No, thank you." Later on I figured out what it meant and I was , "Dahm. He was cute."
Whoever can do the best YEEEHAAWWWWW (or has the biggest hat)?Could work although I'm not sure how we'd figure out drawing the straws for who would have to be Major Kong.
I plead the fifth......Did someone have to go pound it?
We'll need a judge. Any volunteers?Whoever can do the best YEEEHAAWWWWW (or has the biggest hat)?
I prefer the sixth myself, but I hear ya sistah!!I plead the fifth......
Yeah........Thanks for turning me down..............
Did someone have to go pound it?
Well wait a second, I think I finally hit the unmodded 10 day target on Friday... does that mean I have to wait until Monday?
How dare the hardworking moderators, who have had to sift through my ramblings day in day out, have time off and not mark this momentous occasion? What is this site, free or something?
That said, please tell me that the shutting down of the board is like somekind of nuclear launch code where there has to be two of you with special keys that go into red locks that have to be turned at the precise same time? That would make my day.
It's bled out everywhere is the problem. And in HT, it's gotten to fever pitch at times.Isn't the flaming in hot topics? Yall still need time off.. but was wondering if you could shut down just part of the board when it gets out of hand, regardless of your weekends off... ?
You're at mid 600's. I am nearing 10K myself. My point is you haven;t given them nearly as much work as some of us have. Not to mention, my first few thousand were on the old board that was moderated for every single post.Seriously bro, I think my outrageous amount of postings has lead to there meltdown! I have tried to read and respond to everything humanly possible. And i am just one person. But if it makes them feel any better after I found out they still had to read my posts I tried to find out the rules both written and un-written and not respond to things or thread things wrong. it was a sweet escape while it lasted.

I believe it's safe to say that you had NOTHING to do with this decision.Hey Mods are Great people. I was DA** surprised to find out Flake and DJ volunteer to do this. One of the first questions I asked flake directly (I think it was my first or second day on SKMB was "Do you work in a giant call center type place where there are a bunch of modds and each of you have like 5 sites you watch? And are you actually a fan of Stephen King or do you just have to keep up to date on who ever site you are modding so you can know what people are talking about?" see in my 27 year old mind that was raised with technology, I thought this, like most sites, was just another business/personal platform like facebook or something. So when I found out they were normal people and this was not their "job" I was impressed.
I was also under the false impression when your posts stop being delayed for MOD SQUAD approval that meant they did not have to read them. Flake pointed out you guys have to read all the messages. I get a concentration head ache trying to keep up with my own dang posts so the idea of that is just Flabbergasting. For me the SKMB is like when A kid gets a new bike. They use the hell out of it until they get burnt out. I have been using the hell out of this site to keep myself entertained while I was supposed to be doing nothing while recovering from an injury. I feel like I may be partially to blame for the MODS burn out which makes me feel a little guilty. Understand that I can be on facebook all night and have at least five alternating friends on there with me at all times. This is considered to be pretty normal for my generation. So I am wondering now if I have abused this website by treating it like a facebook or something. If so SORRY!!!!!!.
I think you all deserve time off! you got lives to live just like we do! I just want you all to know that I personally really frickin appreciate the unique-ness you provide by MODDING this site. I mean for the most part it has been good clean fun!!! something I am not used to internet wise.
AND just to make sure I made my point perfectly clear. YOU three MODS I have encountered frickin ROCK!

As far as I'm concerned, as well as I safely assume others are, you've been nothing but a blessing here, Ash, a great and needful addition, and my new personal fave.Seriously bro, I think my outrageous amount of postings has lead to there meltdown!
