Manifesting only good for you and hubby. Please be safe. I am in that "older" category-76. Not looking forward to being out and about any more than needed. Tad fearful of Spring Break=FL/ and tourist attractions.

Just be safe Tery . Keep us posted.
You stay safe, too! Stay away from those kids down there for Spring Break, you party animal, you ;)

I have read, don`t remember where or who has said this , that this flu goes away april.
Just one Month left Folks.
....Frank, that is the usual predicted seasonal end for the annual flu outbreaks we have....this novel coronavirus has shown elements of being able to mutate-but last I saw, the most virulent strain has begun to dwindle.....

I want to make sure that we are keeping this a friendly discussion where everyone is welcome to share their opinions and agree to disagree if necessary. There's no need for it to become a Hot Topic and be shut down.
Here's something interesting re the Coronavirus

No cases in Wyoming yet but I have been concerned, seeing as we have been fighting off illness after illness all winter.

Yesterday in the grocery store as I was going past the pharmacy section I overheard a lady ask the pharmacist about face masks. I could not hear what he said but he was shaking his head no.

There were some bare shelves in the grocery store but I think that is more due to I-80 being shut down for several days on the other side of Wyoming because of a huge 120-140 vehicle pileup over last weekend. Disrupting the supply chain, rather than people buying stuff up.

Yikes!

Was just reading how they actually don't recommend wearing a mask to protect against this virus

Health Experts Are Telling Healthy People Not to Wear Face Masks for Coronavirus. So Why Are So Many Doing It?

On a lighter note you can buy these weird masks for dogs:

Poor puppies!

No cases here in Winnipeg yet either

I know I had heard that as well. It was interesting the pharmacist was shaking his head no. He was either telling her they didn't have any or that they aren't recommended anyway.

I was talking to my daughter who's a pharmacist about this last night. She agrees and said it actually makes things worse for people who aren't symptomatic because face masks are often dirty and can breed bacteria unless you clean them about every 40 minutes and would make you more susceptible to catching something. The information they're being given is that the people most at risk are elderly who are or were smokers or otherwise have had their lungs compromised. For reasons they haven't figured out yet, it isn't like other flus that include infants and younger people as being in the higher risk category. Best thing for now to do is to be vigilant about keeping hands clean and wiping down shopping cart handles before you use them. Wiping them when you're done would be a nice gesture, too, for people like me who completely forget to do that until they're halfway through the store.

I always wipe shopping carts down when I get there but the one I leave with is always different. The baggers always have an empty cart at the ready so they don't have to wait to start bagging your groceries until you are done unloading. Never thought about that until just now, that no matter that I'm wiping it down on the way in, I could be picking up germs on the way out. yikes.

My recently diagnosed low lung function does have me concerned about myself. But I guess no sense in worrying or panicking. That just produces stress that compromises the immune system too.

Suggestion- buy a box of the individual hand wipes. Generic is fine. Especially now, put several in your purse or coat pocket. That way you can wipe down the cart given to you. Don;t forget about car door handles ( family members coming out of school/work etc).

Many are suggestion not using cloth kitchen towels.

Absolutely! Do what you can to minimize your chances of exposure but otherwise it's mostly out of our hands so stressing about it isn't going to help either.

You're giving me far more credit for remembering to do that than I deserve even if I did have them in my purse. I can't tell you how many times I've taken a cart, seen the dispenser with the wipes in the shopping cart area and walked right on into the store without wiping down the handle.

You can wipe down the shopping cart handle, but all through a store are articles people have touched. What's the difference?
True. I suppose you could wipe down everything you touch if you want to minimize your exposure even further but shopping cart handles are the things we can pretty much guarantee someone else has been handling.

Good idea! I did buy some clorox wipes a few days ago. I will have to put some in a baggie when I go out. Have been using them on doorknobs, etc around the house just because the schools are natural petri dishes.

I laugh at the plan to self quarantine as a method to combat CONVID-19. It never has worked here and never will. There will always be people who just go out and do what they want to do with no regard for others. It just happened the other week.
