I have done nothing about costumes for my kids. I'm an awful mom!

Sage is going as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I'm toying with making Ali Lumiere and buying some orange or yellow solo cups, cutting the bottoms out and gluing orange tissue paper in them for flames. Two for her hands and one for her head, attach a rubber band or something, to sit it on her head.

And using eyeliner to draw a clock face on Ty for Cogsworth.

What do you think?? Lazy or genius??

:D

Genius! Use a headband to glue the cup down. Much more comfortable than a rubber band.

My daughter's too old to trick or treat, but she and a few friends are going to a party and dressing as hobbits. I'm taking off early to take them to the thrift store to look for pants, shirt and vests and we are using flip flops and yarn to make hairy hobbit feet!;-D

I have no idea what my kids will actually wear. But I figure they are covered up by coats anyway. ;-D

Ali is into the Lumiere idea, but Ty does not want to be Cogsworth. He really wants to be Pennywise. But, Marti is afraid of clowns and Sage is starting to be too. I don't think Pennywise is a good idea. ;)

Told Evan he could just go as The Beast. No costume needed. He did not find it amusing. :p

RJ is going to be with his mama this Halloween.

I love your flip flop and yarn idea! Oh and yes a headband would work much better! Thanks!

Genius. How about another character from IT? Yellow raincoat, paper boat? Regular clothes riding a bike ( if no snow).

I suggested Georgie, he hemhawed a little. We have a rain coat that would work. It has shiny reflective strips on it, but it would still work ok. We'll see! I am not into fighting crowds for overpriced, and probably extremely picked over costumes. I kept thinking I had plenty of time and now all of a sudden, no more time. :ambivalence:

Cut up an old sheet, wrap him up and send him out as The Mummy!

Good luck! I know you'll figure something out that will be just right.
