A little over 100 pages from the end of Ashley Bell... Sort of sad-- I don't want it to end. :( I've been taking my time with it so it would last longer, but all good things.... well, you know.

That being said, Koontz has several irons in the fire in this one -- arguably more than in any other novel I've read by him -- meaning it's really complex and multi-layered. It shows his strength as a writer. I am truly impressed, and it will definitely be one of my favorite reads of this year.

Someone else read it so we can discuss!
...he seldom gives himself credit for a good piece of scribbling, but he's even said it just seemed to take him over and flow right onto the page....

I have NEVER cracked one of his books. Better things beginning with a 'K' in the library.
Most people will say watchers is one of or the best he has done. Odd thomas awesome as well as Frankenstein series. But if u never read him u should give 8t a try. Hard style to explain. A good book to start with is darkfall. Short novel. Think it clocks in at like 280 pages or something. Thinner reminds me of a koontz novel. Joyland and twilight eyes are similar as well. But even if u dislike darkfall at least read watchers. Just can't go wrong with that one.

Just finished twilight eyes. Reminds me of joyland. Ofcourse with koontz u got the super natural going on. Then the young love just as in joyland. The carnival. As to joyland. Rubes as to marks. Definitely check it out
Keep in mind that Twilight Eyes was written years before Joyland.
