Okay, here goes.

“Stephen Edwin King, if you agree to leave this message board open after June 30th (that’s next Tuesday, in case you have your face in a new book) then I, FlakeNoir of New Zealand, will promise to love you…. In that way.

Did it work?
I don't know if it worked on Stephen but it sure as hell worked for me :casanova:

I want to put in my two cents here. I've been away for a good while. I've been off work since the end of March. Fortunately with pay. I've taken on so many long neglected household projects that I've been busier that ever. My husband had been waiting for a hip replacement for a year and now it's going to be even longer. We do physio exercises to stop things getting worse. Not fun, but we persevere. Then I forgot my password. Then I got stubborn about getting a new one. So for the last few days here I am. Since 2009 this has been a wonderful place. Not just for all things Stephen King, but all the wonderful people I've met. The Kon in Bangor two years ago was a real bucket list experience for us. It's something that gets brought up now and again. I'm going to cry in a bit, but the only constant is change and all things serve the beam. So love and green lights to everyone.

Good wishes to you going forward. I hope your hubby can get his hip soon, and the pain is minimal until then. Or at least manageable. Bangor is on my bucket list too!

(((doowopgirl and Mr.doowopgirl))) Hugs your way. Hoping that Gerry's hip replacement is scheduled as soon as can be done safely and relieves the pain!

It's so good to see you here before we close! I'm really sorry to hear that your husband's surgery has been pushed back, I hope he can get some relief soon. And thank goodness for leave with pay! Times are so uncertain right now.
My best wishes are with (((you and Mr. Doowop))) it has been so lovely getting to know you on the board and I hope you will migrate to one of the other MB's once we close and when you have some free time. (there are lots of links to them spread throughout this thread)

No Flake, nor I too you. Feels like time has caught up with ole Out of Order lately truth be known, but that doesn’t mean we can’t share some laughs and life going forward.....
Absolutely... and time is catching me up too, sadly. I will hit a fricken major (to me) mile-stone next month. Dammit. Sigh.
