Derry Maine in HO Scale

For several years I have been working on an HO scale model railway which is going to be Stephen King's Derry Maine. I have been stalled for a while but hope to get started again this year and be motivated by taking a real trip to Derry (Bangor) this May.

The idea is to have subtle and not so subtle shout-outs to things in King's books - like 29 Neibolt Street, Pennywise in the sewer, the baseball at Tracker Brothers, the Aladdin Theater etc...

For sure. As part of the trip, my daughter and I are filming a documentary on 'Stephen King's Maine' which will visit many of the sites that inspired him.

Funny coincidence - we are staying in our trailer in...Hermon. Or is it coincidence? As someone once said: Don't confuse coincidence with fate.

Having an amazing trip to King's Maine! Have spent time in Derry and visited places that inspired Stephen, like his childhood home in West Durham, Lisbon Falls and of course Bangor. Got lots of footage for our documentary and met lots of great folks like Stu Tinker and Frank Annicetti. Immersed in King's Maine and loving it!
