The storm started around two in the morning. The hurricane winds
picked up later, and the meteorologists said they would last the whole
day, which they did.

I watched from the living room window (all the while fearing the glass
would break), and witnessed the strangest sight. I saw my neighbor's
cow, a brown and white Jersey, turn her back end to the horizontal
spray and slashing one hundred miles plus winds, and for nearly three
hours just stand there on four legs, chewing her cud, and take it.

Hurricane Maria, watched it pass through.
Later, listening to The Beatles--
The White Album--on generated power,
cause I was feeling ever so blue.

Uploading this from Sears because my Internet service has been down since Maria. No major damage done to me and mine but, man, I'm feeling despondent. In general the damage to the island has been catastrophic.

I want to tell you not to let that storm bring you down but I get how you feel. I hope things get better soon. The damage to the island is horrific :(

I am really relieved to hear from you! We have all been so very worried... it's been just awful the level of devastation. I hope things get a whole lot better there soon, please stay in touch with us as you can.
