This one is a teleplay from a Tales From The Darkside episode. What did you think?

Am starting to like the feel of stories written as screen or teleplays. The concept that the husband's novel title was "Ghost Kiss" gave me an eerie feeling in the beginning, only to make the ending tug harder at the heartstrings. Once again, SK grabs the reader and pulls them in.
I used to think that about teleplays and plays, in general. It is all about subtext and much of the action is alluded to or is in the past. I prefer novels where the whole universe opens up for a reader. After reading more plays I've come to appreciate the artform and how difficult it is to write one. I do remember reading this story and not understanding it and reading it twice. I like it, now, and I have seen the tv adaptation which was not bad.Until recently, I always found teleplays and screenplays a little difficult to follow and hold my attention. I never seemed to get the knack for reading them. A while back, I read Joe Hill's book of teleplays that he wrote for Tales From The Darkside and it changed my lack of knack for teleplays. I think reading 4 good ones back to back helped. I've read a few more since then and like them much more than I used to. I've never read the Storm Of The Century teleplay, so that's on my TBR list now.
I agree with Ghost about the impending doom that this story had right from the start.
Has anyone seen the TV episode? I haven't.
Have not seen the episode that I can recall. I think it was reading so many SK book that allowed my mind to set up the teleplay formatt. Storm of the Century is an awesome read. Take you time. Use the minds eye to visualize.Until recently, I always found teleplays and screenplays a little difficult to follow and hold my attention. I never seemed to get the knack for reading them. I forgot this morning to say I finished my homework.
I thought I remembered how this one ended but I was wrong. Good little story, the ending does give chills.
The screenplay format is not a favorite of mine, but it's not difficult for me to read.
