I looked for the post someone made about hanging a pickle ornament on their tree because I wanted to share this story with them. I couldn't find the post but I found a dad-gummed pickle ornament at the dollar store, and I bought it. I have a teeny tiny tree so I may not hang it on the tree, but I will hang that pickle somewhere!
Here's what's up with the pickle, it has a story. The package my pickle ornament comes in says, that it's a German tradition to hide a small pickle ornament somewhere on the tree on Christmas morning. The first person to find the pickle is rewarded with blessings in the coming year and gets to open the first present. Neato.
