Thanks for the heads up. I didn't even know dogs could get this. I have a little 6 pound poodle who is about to turn 17 so I definitely do not want him getting this! Thnakfully he sniffs other things on dogs and not noses

I was thinking this too. My dog doesn't usually go nose to nose with an other dog.

Didn't know this until a few weeks ago but cats get flu and colds. Vet said once they have had these they never return
to be healthy.
My daughter found a kitten in the middle of the hwy. in Northern Alberta a few weeks ago; he was frozen to the centre
line of the road. She took him to a Vet and he is now as healthy as he will ever get and her in laws in Ontario want him.
So the little guy will make his first flight, to Ontario, in a few weeks. So the story ended well.

Cats and dogs do get the flu. They do recover. Had a cat that got a cold and he lived to be 18.

Had a dog that got it too. He lived to be about 10.
