Let's remember to keep these to ones that don't have sexual innuendoes to them. I know many of you may think the mods are prudes but a) that's not the case and b) it's because we'd like to keep this side of the Board more family friendly. If you want to share any of your embarrassing moments that are on the "adult" scale, we have a thing called Conversations. If you wouldn't want your teen or under aged children or the public at large to see the post, this is probably not the place for it either.

This may also be a good time to mention why we're being more strict about certain photos or messages being posted. The Me, Too movement has had us reconsidering if it's okay to post these when the underlying message is objectification of individuals as there has to be a point when this stops. It isn't about being PC, it's about RESPECT. And that includes women objectifying male bodies because even though bare-shirted men isn't a big deal in and of itself, let's be honest that there are pictures of bare-shirted males that are resulting in the same response as a scantily dressed woman will have for the opposite sex or sexual orientation.

One of my embarrassing moments were on a school excursion. We were at a lake for swimming. It had a jumptower. I dived from that tower to impress a girl (how the heck i could think my diving would be impressing is another story) and when i hit the water my bathing shorts almost came off through the force of the impact. They were at my knees. And i just couldn't get up stark naked in front of the whole class, MUCH to embarrassing to even consider. so I keep under water trying to get a hold of my bathing shorts while the air in my lungs was soon extinct. And then in the last second, literally last second, i got a hold of them and could swim up again. They were starting to prepare a search, thought i hit my head or something but i didn't tell what had really happened. Mumbled something about being sorry to have worried them and oozed away. Now you know. It wasn't a long moment but i prefered drowning before facing that embarrassment. (I was a shy kid, remember).

This is why I avoid The Rush Forum as much as possible. Most of the members over there are men and a lot of them habitually post objectionable girlie pictures. I have complained about it many times and the admin at that website refuses to do anything about it.

Yep. And don't get me started on their version of Hot Topics. The only thing I go there for now is lyrics.

That makes perfect sense and I must admit that a bare-shirted picture of me would be objectionable to say the least :facepalm_smiley:

Goofing off with my best friends at an indoor swimming pool when we were kids. We were running. It was all going swimmingly, until my feet went flying out from under me and I slammed down head first onto the concrete floor. I was so mortified that I immediately jumped back up, but my head felt like it had been split open. The grups all came rushing over, of course, and even strangers were getting involved, everybody asking me if I was ok, and trying to see if I had a concussion. I kept swearing I was fine, so they eventually let me go, but for the rest of the day all the adults kept a super close eye on me. I hated the attention and just wanted to be left alone, so it took me quite a few years to mention the crack in my skull....

Just remembered another embarrassing moment that involved a swimming pool.
We used to get taken by bus every Friday after school to a nearby college swimming pool and after a few weeks we were escorted to the high diving board as they were going to allow us to try it out. We all queued up and proceeded up the ladder to sample to thrill of it all. Unfortunately when I got to the edge of the board my fear of heights kicked in and I had to go back and climb down the ladder in shame...

These last swimming posts have not gone as I thought they would, but that's kind of refreshing.

Usually when I hear people talking about swimming pool embarrassments, it involves the unintended removal of an article. No, that particular instance escaped me.
