Fall Foliage

I think Dana said something the other day about wanting to see some photos of the leaves turning. I've snapped a few pics of the property next door to me, which is a gorgeous showcase for New England scenery. I will post the pictures as they looked today, with the leaves starting to turn, and will continue to post as the turn more vivid. I love fall colors, so show off your foliage photos here!

Sounds good - we are driving back to Winnipeg now so if I see any nice ones I'll try to take some photos.

Fall in the States always makes me think of our Nate, he used to take pics of the leaves turning in VT when he was on work runs and send them through to me. The colours were really gorgeous.

I got some awesome pics today! We went pumpkin and apple picking with my good friend from high school, Stacy, and her family. This was the epitome of the perfect fall day.

The teenager is my Daniel.

The little boy is my Alex, and the little girl is Stacy's Samantha.

It is in Coös County. I took some scenic roads as I left Maine headed to Vermont. Many bridges, bed and breakfasts, and mountains but not a fast food joint in sight! Ha.

I was looking around today and noticing that the colors aren’t quite as vibrant or plentiful as they usually are at this time of the season. I heard that because we had a rather dry summer, a lot of the leaves are going from green to brown and dry, skipping those lovely stages of autumn coloring. Many branches are already half bare. That’s a bummer.

Rainy and overcast today - not a great day for picture taking - I'm hoping that tomorrow the weather will improve as we continue our drive through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
