Star, this says it all in three perfectly written words. Can't stop the tears for Sharon, for you missing her, for me...for all that knew her...Missing you today.
I know. I spent last night and today in a fog of grief. I am actually shakey like one gets after a big fright. Thing is, life goes on and that is the most heartbreaking idea of all when someone wonderful moves on. The sky should be weeping tears...but life goes on. The best we can do is to give honour with our memories of good times and sweet things. We can say..."There was this wonderful woman who was the sweetest thing" or Remember what Sharon said that time?" I am glad she had enjoyment of being on here with us. I really think it was important to her....as it is for me. She is on her way home to Newfoundland. I am sure she is there in the clearing and we will all meet again.Star, this says it all in three perfectly written words. That is so moving Danie.Death Is Nothing At All
By Henry Scott Holland
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.
I can imagine her saying this... thanks, Danie. xoxDeath Is Nothing At All
