Hooray for the return of the birds and flowers!

I don't think I've met a flower I don't like - I'm not a big fan of the scent of gardenias but they're pretty.

I love gerbera daisies best I think.

And this year the early blooming tulips surprised me to tears.

We have many, many hundreds of flowers in loads of varieties planted around the house and property that bloom from Spring through Fall. Will probably add 50 or more gladiolas this spring, a couple of flowering bushes, and far too many annuals. The flowers I like the best are the Butterfly Bushes... because of, well, you know, the butterflies. Gladiolas come in second because they attract hummingbirds.

I love lilacs.

My neighbor across the street has his property surrounded in lilac bushes. I love sitting on my porch on warm spring afternoons and enjoying the fragrance of the lilacs in the breeze.
