The OoO prayer...

As I lay me down to sleep,
I pray that Eli stays on his feet.
That Brady gets a case of gas,
and ends up on his pretty boy a$$.
A prayer for the Giants to win this game,
And hopes that Gronk looks awfully lame.
Amen.
I'm going to keep my lips zipped as I don't want to anger the sports gods and jinx the Pats. :zip_it:

I read an article yesterday on the ESPN site about Belichick and Coughlin. The article covered their time working together as assistants for the Giants. I had to laugh when I read the Giants players nicknames for these two, Colonel Coughlin and Captain Sominex (Belichick ran the film sessions) ;-D.

That's funny: Sports gods.

So ... I'm watching the Super Bowl in February and the Seahawks look like they're toast. Then the ball drops right into the prone receiver's lap on that last drive and I'm thinking: "I can't believe it! It's David Tyree all over again!"

When Butler made the interception in the endzone to salvage the win, another thought occurred to me:

"The rest of the NFL is really in trouble now. Even the gods of football can't stop Belichick."

So far, so good.

:)

I'll wait to see what the score is tomorrow. Maybe the Giants get blown out. Maybe not. Giants have played the Patriots tough before. I think Eli has two shiny rings from those games. If I'm not mistaken.

Brady and co. are certainly taking their wrath out on the NFL, but the Giants are always underdogs. Even if the Giants lose, if that score is close, then that could be the game that really turns around the Giants season. It did before.

Congrats to the Arkansas Razorbacks for topping LSU. That was a good one.
The Razorbacks are starting to scare me with their consistency. How about Derrick Henry tonight? I was pretty amazed watching him pull away from the MS secondary on that 74 yard TD run in the first half. Very impressive. I wouldn't want to play Alabama right now, their defense is rolling right now.

How did CAT handle The Broncos first loss? I heard that Wyoming might have had an earthquake or two over the last weekend......:biggrin-new:
I just now saw this....:p :p :p

I am getting both the Broncos/Chiefs game and the Patriots/Giants today, they play at the same time. There will be much channel changing going on this afternoon. ;-D

Dear football Gods,

Thank you for Mark Sanchez

Ol' buttfumble just keeps on giving, doesn't he? ;-D

On a more serious note:

Pats squeak by Jints after Brady nearly threw it away, but the loss of Julian Edelman is BIG.

Somebody better do something about that annoying blue team from New Jersey. They are pesky. Don't want to see them again.

The Broncos season is dead. Oh, they haven't made the final call, and there are sure to be bright spots here and there. But for those hoping to take the whole enchilada, short of some startling personnel change, it ain't happening this year. Lots of things to diagnose about how and why, but I'll leave that to the pigskin pundits. The winning streak was nice while it lasted.
