I thought that was a target for the flamethrower......
Jets start the season against the Bungles. Knowing how good your aim is, GNT will be wearing his flame retardant gear.

If the Panthers lose their opening game against the Broncos with Mark Sanchez at the helm... does that flamethrower have a self-destruct button? :)

Well, the lad did okay in his exhibition opening, so thank you. Perfect opening series, including a TD, and a stupid interception later. True to form, right?

I took some heat from a friend saying, "Sanchez is no Peyton Manning." I replied, "Last year, Peyton Manning was no Peyton Manning."

The takeaway last year is that ferocious defense can do the job with an adequate offense. If the Broncos can keep up their superlative D with even a slightly enhanced O, I'm liking the possibilities.

That was Sanchez's problem with the Jets... turnovers. 68 TDs and 69 INTs. And I agree, the key to the Broncos season falls on their D.

LOL. I stand corrected. I guess they are the Jets' Ohio equivalent.

Well, at least the Jets have '69, when they got their Super Bowl championship - although to be precise, it wasn't called the Super Bowl then. But they do have one more appearance in the big game than the Browns. (And Elway can take his share of blame for the Browns fans' frustration.)
