The benching of Eli is bizarre. I understand if the Giants are moving on and have a young QB they want to give work to but Geno Smith? We already know everything we need to know about Geno. The biggest problem with the Giants offense is the O line (and head coach) not the QB. The market should be strong for Eli, he's had a pretty healthy career so there should be a few miles left on him. If he goes somewhere with a decent O-line and head coach, he should be an asset.

The situation must be dire if they're going to a Jets' castaway to take the helm.

Time to close the book of Eli. The luckiest QB to face the Patriots in the Super Bowl. He should be happy with his rings and ride out to pasture. Most guys don’t get a shot at one. He has two from two memorable games. Plus he’s the less whiny of the Mannings. That’s a plus. And he doesn’t do annoying commercials. Best Manning ever!

....he has seen his best years, yet should be a steadying hand to any of the floundering teams out there...it's an ignoble exit, and he deserves better....

Between the Giants destroying themselves and Alabama losing a rather sloppy Iron Bowl I thought for sure I was done with football for the year.

However, Ohio State's upset win over Wisconsin knocked Wisconsin out of the CFP and the committee has decided to put Alabama in the final four. They get to face off against Clemson on January 1st. We've had some crazy luck go our way in the past. I hope Saban riles the boys up this time so they don't let this chance slip by.

I'm sure a lot of people are upset that two teams from the SEC got chosen and that the PAC 12 champion wasn't even in consideration. But hey, gotta have a Roll Tide for today.

Was happy to see the Pats win but really disappointed with that dirty hit Gronk did to White. Totally unnecessary. I was really surprised he wasn't ejected for that even with all the other fouls committed during that play.
I can understand Grunk’s frustration, even with two Super Bowl rings on his fingers. Defenders seem to get away with so much more contact against him, that would probably garner a flag if against just about anyone else.

Agree about that. That penalty he got for offensive interference was BS but still, to do a late hit like that shouldn't have happened.

Very Un-"Gronk" like behavior. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get suspended, heavily fined, or both. Side note, did you see Tom Brady get into with OC Josh McDaniel on the sidelines??? Wonder that that was about? Brady, Belichik and McDaniel all had no comment afterwards.
