I saw something is the Alabama/Ole Miss game I've never seen before. Kicker #1 misses an extra point but Ole Miss gets another chance because of penalty. Kicker #1 gets taken out and kicker #2 misses the 2nd chance. I'm not sure if I've ever seen 2 consecutive extra points missed but I definitely had never seen it done by two different kickers.

The irony being that one of the reasons (among many) we lost that game was because we missed two field goals.

That's okay. You made it up by getting good calls when it counted like the ignore of a facemask and simultainious stripping of the ball when a touchdown was on the line. No matter how it's called it's still on film for all to see. The refs forget the whole world sees what they ignore. Honestly I'm surprised they called the last interception correctly.

Speaking of kicking, who else noticed the Ole Miss player who kicked at Kenyan Drake while he was on the ground, crying in agony? Classy move. Should've been an ejection.

Even if it was a light kick I agree. There is no place for that. I think the refs like to appear a bit incompetent both ways to cover for how they always make key decisions in favor of Alabama when a score is on the line. It's not the schools fault. The schools own newspaper has made note of bad calls in their favor in the past. The only thing that makes sense to me is the betting industry being involved. It happens too consistently against teams they are favored to win against. The thing is, it has happened that way for so long that a lot of people have begun to talk about it. That's bad. Alabama is a great team. Most of the time they don't need the help. But the point spread might. If you want to think it's just sour grapes then fine. But pay attention. See what everybody else sees not blinded by loyalty to them. Not calling the facemask when points were on the line is just another in a long line of bad calls at suspicious times.

I beg to differ. I don't even consider the facemask thing to be that much of a big deal. Ole Miss won. I don't have a lot of sympathy for their terrible plight. That Kenyan Drake kick, though? Huge deal. Facemask thing isn't anything compared to that. Not even close. And it for sure didn't go in Alabama's favor. Not even the broadcast crew noticed or said anything about it. Makes me wonder what they put in the water at Oxford.

I see lots of cringe worthy behavior on the football field. I'm not particularly an Ole Miss fan - just depends on who they're playing. That kind of behavior is intolerable. It can't tell if the kick actually hit him - refs should have called a penalty if it did. Don't get me started on refs not calling things though. My son plays football, and it's very hard to watch. I actually sit alone (my husband is the water boy) because I know people around don't want to hear my whimpers. I watch my son with binoculars, ready to jump on the field to keep the bullies away.

Of course you don't think it's a big deal. As long as bad calls go in Alabamas favor right? Neck injury? Pah. Well it's not just the water in Oxford. It's the water everywhere except Alabama and that's what you need to consider but won't. It's not just Ole Miss. It's every team Alabama plays against. Hell, I don't even mind the BS call about the Ole Miss player pulling his helmet off before he got fully off the field. It's the ones where points are on the line. That smells like big money somewhere and everybody sees it except Alabama. Although to their credit not all Bama fans. Bama can win without the help of the refs. Bama is damn good.

Just pay attention from now on and you will see what I'm (and a lot of others elsewhere) are talking about. Get offended. Deny it. Claim our water is bad. Then start paying attention to those calls where points are on the line. Just those. You don't have to pay attention any other time if you don't want. Rah rah Bamas best all the other times and everybody else is just jealous. Then watch when points are at stake. It's been going on for the past 15 years that I know of. At first I thought it was coincidence. It's ongoing. Ah but I'm crazy right? Just watch. Make note.

Wish we would have had some of those no-calls those six consecutive years we lost to Auburn... Because ya know, those would have come in handy then... Guess the refs we paid off didn't attend any of those. ;-D

Anyway, that'll be my last response on that particular subject. I don't want this thread becoming any more uncomfortable.

Oh I don't think the school has a hand in it, jacob. My guess is gambling racketeers. I thought I made that clear.

It's possible I'm wrong and it is a big coincidence. Believe that and feel comfortable.
