Brady versus Manning, in New England, in the cold...
If you are a football fan you put your life on hold.
That is not the kind of game you miss if you're a fan;
Checking out which quarterback would prove to be The Man.

43 to 21 should make the answer clear.
Peyton Manning has no luck when he plays Brady here.
He may have more passing yards and touchdowns to his name
But it's mostly Brady who goes out and wins the game.

Last night wasn't just a win it - almost - was a rout
So, 'though both are future Hall of Famers, there's no doubt
(Giving Peyton Manning and his stats their proper due)
I believe Tom Brady is the better of the two.
:yes_pig:

Oh, I wasn't drawing comparisons. I think they're exercises in futility. Brady certainly has the better record when they're head to head. Manning has more wins, touchdowns, and passing yards. Brady has more Super Bowl rings.

Manning has trouble in New England. Brady has trouble in Denver (2-4).

The real test of who's better is how each player would've done with the same environment and set of tools as the other. And that, we can never know. Hence my opinion that it's an exercise in futility. In fact, I'd put Elway up against either of them. Elway will never have their stats, but his toolbox was very sparse for most of his career, and neither Brady nor Manning could've brewed up a good batch of dramatic wins as a one-man team like Elway did.

With all that said, I'm perfectly happy that we've got Peyton Manning's classiness and family-friendly presence in Denver as opposed to what Tom Brady brings to the table.

I've got an immense amount of respect for Tom Brady, but Peyton Manning is still my guy. Will be until he retires. The Patriots (and Chargers, for that matter) have always given Manning fits, but the postseason is what counts. In the postseason Brady and Manning are 2-2 in head to head matchups. Brady has more rings, but Brady has always had a better coach, too. A coach that has been in about seven Super Bowls, I think. Manning has had Jim "Diddly Poo" Mora, Tony Dungy, Jim Caldwell, and now John Fox. Between them 1-3 in Super Bowls.

I respect Brady, but I think I respect Darth Hoodie even more. Still don't like 'em, though. ;)

I think the difference between the Manning and Brady teams has been defense. The Patriots can always seem to play D when they need too. The Colts had that with Dungy but for the most part, Manning has been on teams with lesser defenses. They are both great QBs no matter who has the most rings.

Poor Tony Romo. The Cowboys are playing in London Sunday so I guess they are going to load Romo and his damaged back on a plane for a 9 or 10 hour flight. That should be pleasant. Come Cowboys, let him rest. The Cowboys have a bye the week after this game - give him this week and the bye off and don't fly him to London. Of course, Jerry will disagree with me. ;-D

I agree with you. If Jerry wants a championship, and the possibility of of playing in the Superbowl, he needs to let Romo have the much needed rest and time to heal. His injury is serious, and needs to be heeded as such.
Tony Romo should skip Cowboys' London game against Jaguars - NFL.com
