Those are my hogs...so close. Things are gonna be great soon. Tough season, we are almost there. LSU is our next game and I think we break through against them.
I don't know man. LSU is looking very good last couple of games. We really need a QB who can manage a game better and not make as many mistakes. That last play in the game last night was ridiculous. 15 seconds left and a time out to boot and you run up to the line on 1st and 10 and try a shot at the end zone. WTF? Call your time out, regroup, take a couple of shots at the end zone, or better yet, just run up and spike the ball and stop the clock. I don't understand Brandon Allen's decisions as a QB at all. I just don't know if Bielema's plan is going to work in the SEC. If we were playing in the Big 12 right now we'd probably be winning games, but the SEC is a whole different kind of football. Just not sure if we're equipped for it. I'm still wanting them to get a win, but that Petrino spread offense is looking pretty good in retrospect now.

I like our style now, and I think it will work. And I love that we actually have a defense for a change. A win would be great, for sure, and I think it will come this season. This team is close.

:love_heart:

Did you hear Peyton after the game? Saying that you can't win when the quarterback stinks? Or something like that? He had two picks, but still threw for what a thousand yards?
No, I missed that. ;) I admit I wasn't paying much attention by halfway through the 3rd, never changed the channel, but I was not really watching anymore.

That hit Wes Welker took was bruuutal. :Z: Shouldn't that have fallen under the defenseless receiver rule? We were arguing about that here. He had no idea that hit was coming.

I'm not positive, but I think that rule only applies to head shots.
I looked it up yesterday, because my husband said there was no such rule. ;-D

Here is part of the rule...

(2) A receiver attempting to catch a pass; or who has completed a catch and has not had time to protect himself or has not clearly become a runner. If the receiver/runner is capable of avoiding or warding off the impending contact of an opponent, he is no longer a defenseless player;

I think it should have qualified, but I am really not trying to be an armchair ref. ;-D I didn't even care that it had been intercepted, I knew he was still laying there, and I wanted the play to be over so we could see if he was ok.
