Continued prayers and lots of healing vibes.Thank you everyone who took a minute of your day to send good thoughts. Things are looking much more positive. There is rehab in his future, but although he had a very deep brain bleed that was in a spot that was inoperable, they feel this was a one time event. His body is responding, the bleeding has stopped and he is absorbing the bleed that was there, and he is speaking (with a slight novacaine sounding voice) but he says the appropriate words and the flow of conversation is quick, no stopping and starting, no searching for words. His left side is numb and paralyzed somewhat, but he is able to squeeze and push back and hold his leg up and do some of those things that a lot of stroke victims can't. He still will have to go to a rehab facility after his stay in the hospital, but the outlook is so much better! ICU for a couple more days as they administer drugs to reduce swelling in the brain and then he will be put in a regular room for a couple days and then onto rehab.
Thank you everyone!
