A guy my age in the next town over went missing Saturday night. The last person to hear from him was his mother. He called her that night and said he thought someone was trying to kill him. Police tracked his phone the next day and it was found in his car, both abandoned. A body was found yesterday evening and sent to a forensics lab in Huntsville last night, and it was confirmed that it was him.

Someone possibly connected in this has been arrested and is being questioned- hopefully it'll lead to answers. He was gay, and it's rumored that it was a hate crime.

He and I knew each other pretty well. We became friends on FB and chatted back and forth several times. He was extremely nice. Please keep the family in your prayers.

She is still ill but not so bad. They are giving her lots of antibiotic. A bad e coli bacteria went from her bladder to her kidney...enlarging it. Keep fingers crossed. This past week has been hell and very scary ....thanks​

This is awful. And scary. I would just like to throw this out at anyone who gets falsely identified as "different." Sometimes when families want you to stay "in the closet", it has not one thing to do with shame or embarrassment -- it's pure dripping fear. Fear of the ugliness of the world. A mother is supposed to protect their children. How in the hell are they supposed to do that when a world of hate is going to rain down on them just because they are different. It's fear. I know it's not right, nor does that support an authentic life, but fear makes a person go into protective mode.
