Two of my family members are gone north cause they lived in Timberlea. Becky managed to get on a secondary road around Anzac and is heading to Edmonton. I just talked to her. People in the lil towns there are stopping all the cars and asking folks if they need food, gas or shelter....which is wonderful. She is on her way. I will not sleep tonight with the fear of my family losing everything. I will probably have a full house next week. Devon has two t-shirts to his name. Josh had a million dollar house which is having a fun time burning....all of these people ...omg
This was my hometown. I lived there longer than I did in Newfoundland. It is gone. I am mentally remembering every building ...everything.
Prayers for all in the area of these fires.

I saw about the fires this morning on the news and immediately thought about my SKMB Canadian friends. ((((Staro, Becky, AnnaMarie, all of your family and friends, all of Alberta))) Prayers being said!

This news is just dreadful. Prayers for all.
My brother was able to go home, pick up some stuff, and is now heading south. So far his home has survived.
Devon's house is gone ....Josh's is still standing. Becky got home here last night. Devon just arrived here. Thanks be to God. Josh has a place at a lake near Edmonton. He made it there. My nerves are shot. I awoke this morning and could not get out of bed. My body is so shaky. I guess from adrenalin. Thanks for your prayers.
staropeace prayers will continue until all are safe. May those who now deal with the aftermath find the inner peace they will so need.
...Oh crap!...I have nothing to comfort anyone with during this time of fear and trial, love and loss.....all I can do is add my vibes to those encircling our extended family...and pray for those I know will be cast into the furnace heart of the beast...

My cousin, who lives right in the Fort, got out safely with his family. Thoughts going out to all those Albertans who need help up there. This is worse than the Slave Lake fires from a few years ago.
