Devon is running out of gas as he is heading north...he says there maybe someone who can help him at the native reserve out there. I am crossing my fingers. Bad enough you just lost your house but to not even make it to the shelter is really bad. Someone will help, I hope.

staropeace is there anyway those who are able to keep moving out- evacuating- pick up others who are in gridlock. Gridlock happens in Fl during evac during Tropical Season. Many prayers................ keep up posted
I do not know....Devon is on the highway north....this is a deserted type area near the oilpatch. No cities there. South is how one gets out to the rest of Alberta. I am sure someone will help him. Becky cannot get out right now. She is not right in the city though....which is good. It is mostly the smoke with her and the fear. People are trapped in their homes in the downtown area. OMG
My brother's house is gone. Probably my niece's as well.
My husband was there last week. (He travels for work.)
As long as they get out. There are folks trapped downtown Anna. Can u believe this??????

My niece drove south. The highway was closed, but then they opened it. I assume her family drove with the fire right beside them. But they are out. It was slow going.
When they were posting pictures last night, I was thinking, I'd be packing up and going.

She said the fire was on both sides of the road, and vehicles were abandoned (assumed they ran out of gas).

Devon is out of gas but a friend from the reserve in Fort Mckay is going to pick him up and bring him there. He will stay there....thank God for native friends.
