My Dad did that too (stopped eating) - 96 is a good age - although you will miss her I guess she knows she is ready to move on. Hoping that her passing is not painful (((((JoJo))))

My poor Dad had Alzheimer's so it was really tough to see him slowly lose his memory. I remember at the time though, that I did not want him to leave.

My dad was intact and alert, my regrets over his death will not stop haunting me. Do I miss him-yes. I wish that I could talk to him every day because that is better than having a ghost or (photograph on the piano) who loves you from beyond the grave and wishes he could hold your place for the next two years. The kitty (Percy) deliberately thumped me in the head twice with his tail a minute ago.
Alzheimer's eh? That must have been a terrible process for you and your family. Let me remind you that

What I meant to say is (((Spidey))) my dad had eye surgery for progressive glaucoma. It was unpleasant but they did ask him what level he wanted his vision to be once he recovered. He never needed glasses again.

(((Johanna))) It sounds like it is her time but she's leaving you with wonderful memories so that she will always be with you.

Oh JoJo, many hugs and many prayers for you and your mom and her brothers. It will be hurtful when Gran leaves but keep reminding yourselves she is no longer in pain and at peace. Soon you will smile when someone says her name. Promise.
