I can relate. :) Mine are on order--having studded winter snow tires may not guarantee I won't have an accident but I'll be more confident driving with them especially with the winter we're having this year.

I wish I got snow tires now. My new tires are suppose to have good treads and be good in snow. However, i would rather have tires that crush snow like your studded tire.

I've used them the past few years as the all season tires just don't do that good a job in the kind of winter driving we have. It's a bit of a pain to have to get them put on/off every season but worth it for the extra grip especially on the ice if you don't have four wheel or all wheel drive--my car's only front wheel drive. And my regular tires last longer as they're not getting as much mileage each year so it helps offset the cost of the studded snow tires.

Very smart. I am now regretting not doing the same thing. I went in there all prepared for snow tires, but I listened to the guy. Our winters have been good the past few years, but this year, (when I have to drive in it) has been bad already. Northern Ohio snow! I have a Buick Park Avenue, I love the heated seats and it was a good car for not a lot of money, but I am sure I will be the only one who has it driving in crazy snowy weather!

So - what's everyone doing for New Year's Eve? A good friend of mine is having us over for an early night - including the kids - it's always nice to run with friends who have kids the same age - we never get a sitter, and there'll be stuff to entertain them as well. I won't be drinking, and we'll likely make an early night of it - I haven't stayed up to usher in the new year in a long, long time. I like to sleep a lot.

Anyone want to share New Year's resolutions? I'm over it, but the kids like to come up with them and hear mine. So - here's mine: flossing. I never floss unless I have something in my teeth. I'm hoping to keep that resolution. It would be so good for my health.

Mine would be to try harder to keep up on all health issues. Gave up caffine, chocolate and now could add a couple more things to my list.Keep all appointments and try not to reschedule.

Talking about cars. My car is rear wheel drive but my parents car is front wheel drive and especially when we have
had slipper and icy roads my parents car isn't the safest car to drive with. Then they sometimes borrow my car cause it's better to drive with
when it's icy. Under both cars is studded snow tires so it's better to drive winter time but even with good tires, you never know when a accident can
happen. Better to be careful.

OK my bedtime. And only 4 hours left and we here on this side of the earth welcome 2014. May all have a safe New Year celebration and
a better new year. Good Night and as I was saying to some of my co workers when I left work yesterday. See ya all next year. Take care.

Hi there and Good Morning!
Glad to hear you're getting those gifts wrapped! (((Mia))) (I think I will be lazy and use gift bags this year maybe). Pegasus - keeping fingers crossed for you=good luck! KFF - Hi there Linda!
Flake - I have not had time to go over to the Season of Virtual Gifts yet today but thank you so much for all you do - you are very thoughtful :kiwi-fruit: and Holly - good luck with the cold and I hope the hot tea remedy makes you feel better

I was up early at 5 a.m. but now I am feeling tired again. I feel like going back to bed now. I got some time off work so I am taking it easy for a little while and recharging my batteries!

Hope everyone is doing well and getting into the Christmas spirit! :barbershop_quartet_member:
next year I might do gift bags.... wrapping gifts was tiresome.

Good morning. I slept well last night since I hardly had any sllp the night before. It is very cold this morning, but tomorrow is going to be worse. Below zero wind chill all day they said, and a bit of snow.
Yikes - keep cozy and stay home! I hope Kat is doing better and slept well!

I have to go back to work today...I don't want to - I could just live in my jammies and do not much of anything forever, I think. Also, the gym was closed quite a bit over Christmas, so today is my first day back in a week - I know that's going to kill me. I hope they have the defibrillators charged.

Love to everyone - have a good day!
