Glad to come out of the closet as a *nearly* lifelong King fan! I read Gerald's Game when I was 14. It was the writing that drew me in. King has this was of taking ordinary life, and writing it as absolutely TERRIFYING. From there, I went to The Stand, which may seem like a strange leap, but I was big into fantasy writing at the time... plus that was the only King book in the HS library. I consumed the Dark Tower books and gobbled up each one as it was released. I've read many others, but just finished The Shining for the first time, and am currently working on It, for the first time. Thanks and see you around!
