Halloween Candy. Goodie-Roonie or Eh?

What Halloween candy do you give?

What Halloween candies did you get that were Yay! or ehh, not so much yay?

Candied/Caramel apples?

My kids liked the chocolate candies. The candy corn? Not so much.


Did ANYONE get a rock? Ha!

When I buy candy to give out, I only buy stuff that I like in case I get left with any (and I always make sure that happens ). That usually means good candy bars like Heath, Pay Day, Baby Ruth, Snickers, Milky Way, Hershey and non bar candy like M&Ms. I don't buy any candy corn or circus peanuts.

A couple of years ago a group of kids came up to the door and as they were leaving I heard one boy tell his friend, "I love coming here."

Nothing. We haven't gotten a trick or treater in 12 years. We still get candy though just in case. We live in the country and kids wouldn't get much coming to my area. They go to more density areas to maximize efforts and time. Although they would make out well if they stopped at our house. I'd probably give each a half pound of candy just for showing up.

Actually more the David Hasslehoff type. But I do live on the Blue Mountain, on Blue Mountain Drive, and my favorite is Blue Mountain Jerky made down the road a spell. Jerky... I guess you are what you eat.

LOL Just down the road a tad from the Blue Mountain Ski Resort. Be careful though, extremely winding road and you get to play hit and run with the whitetail deer. I swear I needs me one of those Mad Max cars.

But yes it has happened. I have apple trees. The deer love them. Whenever you hear that telltale screech of the brakes and then a thud at night... It's time to call Bob the butcher. Any more questions?
