Cool love the idea of it.Since Ghostface is so generic, I decided to spice up the costume a bit by being....

Pretty cool - I hope you enjoy it a lotGetting things ready for a formal Dumb Supper tomorrow. My brother and sister-in-law are here this year so I wanted to have one with them and my daughter and her roomie. It'll be the first formal ritual I've done in a while so I'm rusty. Trying to find dark-colored foods is hard! My sis-in-law finally found some purple potatoes today -- damn hard to find (and forget purple sweet potatoes!). We're having a roast and a small ham (because pork is traditional and beef is dark... ish), sweet and sour red cabbage, beets and dark broccoli. We're making dark chocolate cupcakes after dinner tonight. Finding black tableware wasn't as hard as we'd feared -- Wally World had all of it! Go figure.
Anyway, it's a nice way to honor one's ancestors and those we lost this past year.If there's anyone you'd like us to include, please let me know. Also, you can do this yourself. Don't have to go all in but it's pretty easy. This website outlines it.
Have always liked this tradition. You taught me about in on this MB. Thankee.Getting things ready for a formal Dumb Supper tomorrow. There's another survey going around saying we should change Halloween to the last Saturday in October
I agree - it's a terrible, ridiculous idea (must have been thought up by people who only care about collecting candy door to door)Wouldn't work here. We observe Halloween on the 31st regardless of what day it falls on.
Oh my God - for a second there I thought "Wait a minute - is she pulling my leg?" Guess I need one more cup of coffeeWouldn't work here. We observe Halloween on the 31st regardless of what day it falls on.
Good point! Would have been better had I said "regardless of what day of the week it falls on."Oh my God - for a second there I thought "Wait a minute - is she pulling my leg?" Guess I need one more cup of coffee
Then I realized what you had written made perfect sense.
