"People call Maine Lori?" I did not know this. So when I write my address, I should use "48 Main St, Bangor, Lori" as my mailing address? That is good to know. Thank you GNTLGNT.

Wow!!I had my first celebrity writer in the shop yesterday and as usual, I was not prepared for it. I did not have my copy of his book handy to ask him to sign it, but he promised me he would return in the new year and as sure as the sun rises each day, I will have it on hand to request a signature.
This fine gentleman walked in and was bundled up in winter clothes so tightly, you could have sworn he was a brick of $100 bills being muled over the border in a cavity-space on a station wagon. He saw the copy of "Hearts in Suspension" right at the door, next to Stephen King's Director Chair from The Langoliers and said he was happy to see that. I didn't recognize him under his scarf and hat, but I told him it was a great book and is a popular selling Christmas item. He then said "I am not sure if you recognize me, but I edited that book and contributed to it." I said "You're Jim Bishop" and he said yes.
He stayed for about a half hour looking around, and we talked about his time at U Maine, working with Stephen and the value of his books, for which he was not familiar with. When he left, he said he would stop back and I hope he does. After he left, I ran to my desk to get my camera so that I could take a selfie with him outside, but alas he was gone.
Next time: Camera ready, book in hand, cool story about my visit to Viet Nam.
Peace out!!!
...that is Jean Luc Picard....Captain of the USS Enterprise.....Please don't say we are at The End of the Whole Mess!
On another note GNTLGNT, why is Walter White wearing a red shirt? I think orange is his best color. Just saying...

Thank you for the clarification GNTLGNT. That must be one of those Star Wars movies I guess, right?
I have recently discovered a great TV series called "Breaking Bad" and I really like it. Never saw it in Thailand, so I have a few years of shows to catch up on. That is who I thought your photo was. My Bad. My Breaking Bad.
Yeah, it sucks. Sure hope it becomes available as an e-book or some such thing in the future.Just tried ordering this from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada at the UofMaine. It was $30.00 but US Mail shipping (the only option) was $25.00. Ouch...I clicked outta there. I'm sure it'll trickle down eventually or be on the web at some point. Dang!
...check out what some creative individual has done, and listed on Ebay....Just started this. Right at the beginning, Stephen talks about a George and a quote about boats... Sorry don't have my book close by.
Was there a thread of our Georgie and his paper boat from this person?

Hello Gerald, I have been reading all about your store and it is on my list of places to visit once i scrape the snow off of my car. Water Street Bookstore got the first Nomik bomb, but they had five dollars for me. It's possible she was asked but declined.I am wondering why tabbie was not asked to contribute? IPA day is it true he ate cat food sandwiches. I will get this book just when I can afford it or when th canadain doller r covers
Tabby is that unique tough as nails Nor' Eastern female who takes no prisoners and won't quibble with you about mundane things. I wish she would publish that book that Steve talked about in the back of On Writing. She has many, many fans of her work and we'd love a new installment in the Nod's Ridge tales. Please? Pretty please, Tabby?Awww o.k. Thanks. I just really hope, that one day we fans will get a glimps of what life is like from her point of view like his fans, and just a different perspective I should say. I really have high praise for her and credit her for the family's sucess. I swear she is the glue that hold it all together
